Dear Anne Frank..... Does God really forgive us?

I needed an outlet. Different from the way I used to write blog posts. I needed my friends. Connections. So I've been doing my journal entries direct on my Facebook page. This week I started honoring Anne Frank in daily posts - the little girl in me that I've protected since the first time I was molested at 5 yrs old - to that innocent heart of hers. It's been helpful to start my days this way - address the fears and hopes I have and honor her at the same time.

This morning this was my online journal post to Anne Frank....join me in honoring her and allowing your fears out so more dreams can grow.

#DearAnneFrank

Did it feel real?

Or did you really think it would end and life would return to the joy you once knew?

I read your diary when I was a young girl in school. Your words touched me, deeply. My grandparents came from East Prussia Germany. The family and friends they left behind remained. As I read your words with my young girl's heart and innocence, I would feel shame and regret - wondering if anyone of them took part. I will never know for sure but I know I don't need those facts to know, somehow, all of our ancestors took part either by action or indifference.

Tell me-- Does God really forgive our sins? Or as children of God are we supposed to forgive the sins of others?
