Dear Anne Frank....As the children lay down to sleep.

Dear Anne Frank,

The tensions are building, more and more are being quiet, others louder. Those who are quiet I think are holding their breaths, their thoughts, and those fears.

I always told my children that the best solutions come out of disagreements. There is nothing wrong with a good and lively debate, it can be healthy - but all of this, everything we are experiencing are wounds that have been bleeding since even before the nightmare which buried your world.

It doesn't matter which of the religions or political parties are battling/arguing/ripping each other up - the outcome always lead to the most innocent paving the road with their blood. I doubt any God would want his precious gems treated such a way.

How many children are laying in their beds tonight, afraid of death and destruction taking their family in the night? They don't understand the news, but they do understand fear which once it takes over an already struggling family -well - how many of those domestic battles are heightening from people not being able to handle everything feeling like it is collapsing?

Did you wonder how many children were like you, writing in a diary wondering about others? Sometimes I wonder about other adults and if they do the same.

We never lose that curiosity, Anne, never - we just sometimes forget it is okay to ask questions.

You had no idea Sweetie, how many there are of us who treasure your memory -your words and that innocent vulnerability you shared by putting pen to paper - but we do not cherish your passing, especially not the way it happened.

Two posts in one day  - my faith tells me you are aware. Right now I can still believe what I want......
