Smiles do come true,,,

In the mix with all this drama here in Juneau County, I am also living a real life fairy tale. I know how silly that must sound, and one day perhaps I will find words to explain it all, but until then...it is what it is. I do know that if I can ever find a way to describe it all it will definitely be a best seller! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever believe I would meet my literal match, but it's happened - I freely admit I am a person who needs to dissect life - dive as far into a subject as one human mind can to not only understand all the aspects of it, but all the intricate details of everything around it. Call it the researcher in me - maybe I am just too damn nosey - but that is how my mind works - it needs to be constantly occupied with solving something. Yes, I am intense. But then again I have this really warped sarcastic sense of humor - it's a survival tactic learned over the years. Some people get that about me... and others....well...

The community in Juneau County, Wisconsin

Ok , I admit it - I've bitched and moaned about needing to move to a larger area with more opportunity for a single mom raising two boys - Let's face it - rural USA doesn't exactly have the resources...ample employment...nor a living wage to offer someone like me to make it on my own without child support - that's just being real.......... So............ This post is dedicated to the reminder I received this morning on why exactly this community is so special - this morning a group of ladies came together to help stra

Is something I believe in - I was never one that could put on a front - if I'm upset...ya know it. If I am elated...you'll catch it. I have no time nor the energy to pretend to be someone I am not just for the sake of an "image" I realize that takes some people off guard - I realize it's an alien concept for some especially those who are involved in politics - but quite frankly I don't care - I answer to the reflection in mirror first and foremost. Another lesson I learned from my father - thank you Daddy! We all have opinions - each and every one of us - and each and every one of us are entitled to them as we are to our free speech. Own your opinion first...before someone else owns you! Have you ever known someone with a fake smile? Aren't they the ones that tend to cause the most drama...in the home...in the workplace...in our government??? That is someone I aim to never be. I've known people in the media from Washington DC...I

Sexual Assault Awareness Month

True Sexual Assault is a Crime of Violence - Power and Control is the aphrodisiac and sex is the weapon The White House Office of the Press Secretary For Immediate Release April 01, 2010 Presidential Proclamation - National Sexual Assault Awareness Month A PROCLAMATION Every day, women, men, and children across America suffer the pain and trauma of sexual assault. From verbal harassment and intimidation to molestation and rape, this crime occurs far too frequently, goes unreported far too often, and leaves long-lasting physical and emotional scars. During National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we recommit ourselves not only to lifting the veil of secrecy and shame surrounding sexual violence, but also to raising awareness, expanding support for victims, and strengthening our response. Sexual violence is an affront to our national conscience, one which we cannot ignore. It disproportionately affects women -- an estimated one in six American women will experience an attempted or comple
