Counting Centene PAC donations to sheeple — nightmare in the making.

It is one of those nights where my system is reved up and sleep will take a bit before it hits. On my mind is quite a bit — I am disappointed in a lot of things lately, well over the last decade or so, it has been but I do not think it is too late for change.

Now if you haven't been following along, I suggest you read these, first.

Vanguard did you know? If so, Why?

Why Centene?

Did you catch up? Ok, this is what is eatting at me, the way a corporation like Cetene has their own political action committee (PAC) and the donations they make to both sides of the aisle. I take it that may be normal, how else do you hedge bets — but the entire thing is repulsive.

Who said corporations are people too? Oh, right, Romney.

Anyway, back to Centene and their PAC. They like to give donations — a lot.

Above is from 2022, below is 2024, our current campaign season.

It’s nauseating to know I don’t have a dime to get these guys to pay attention but the corporation who has been denying so much and so many requests in regard to my healthcare, can just write a check in exchange for a politician (dozens upon dozens, if not 100s by the end of the season).

They say use your vote for us little people, but one vote will not compete with all those PAC donations, made to both sides.

The only thing we truly have that matters is our voices. Now I see names on the side of the aisle I call home, and that pisses me off. It should you for your side.

Let me refresh your memory on why this should irk you —

Yeah — it’s a lot to take in, isn’t it? As I keep saying this is not a red issue, this is not a blue issue, this is a WE issue. Medicaid dollars are to support our most vulnerable — the elderly, the disabled, those in poverty and especially our children. And, you don’t have a say — Centene does in those donations.

Sickening, isn’t it?

Give a Tweet to both the RNC and DNC, if you agree with me, and tell them to demand their candidates to return Centene PAC money especially given that nearly BILLION dollars in settlements to states for overcharging and allegations of fraud.

Feel free to call the candidates, too —

If we do not use our voices to protect and demand better healthcare for our vulnerable, then, who are we as a society?

We may have just celebrated the holiday season — but the sentiment in these lyrics linger, unfortunately, hauntingly linger.
