Greed -

I wrote the following earlier this morning and posted it to my personal social media account. I decided to add a bit more at the end and share it all here on my blog now that I am almost finished with a 2nd huge tumbler or whatever you call them, of coffee.....

Politics is not like watching a Super Bowl where your team is on that field....or is it?

There you are spending all that money to support watching others play a game, while earning more than you ever will.

You buy their jerseys, wear their colors and would go down rooting for them, no matter what. I get it. I am a Cubs and Bears fan. Believe me, I get it. But, when you walk away from the game, back into your life, none of that will matter, you have to deal with what is in front of you.

AND, unfortunately, everywhere we turn is a halftime show filled with circus acts and just pure stupidity through misinformation, disinformation...effin', flat out, lies. And why? So you support that team no matter what...do they care you alter your life to get to that game? Do they care your truly hard earned dollars are supporting their egos and drive for more millions....greed? Do they care your fridge is empty while they chow down on a private jet?

No - they care that you just keep showing up with your pocket books open and blinded by rose colored glasses that this will be the year they take it home. This will be the year they make it and it is all because of your undying loyalty to the team. Yeah this will be their year....you convince yourself of that as you walk back into your real life.....

Funny thing about it all....

Even when they win your year is pretty much the same, their's..oh, they're partying off your hard work and getting all the fame and recognition, plus more $$ ...yeah, it's their year...... now save up those dollars for more merchandise with their logo...make sure you do it for Christmas givings, nothin' says love like (free for the team) advertisement.

So..yeah...welcome to politics and democracy in America.

People really need to pay attention and shake off a decade plus more of sleep. We are evolving but how we are doing and where we are heading none of us has the answer, but we do know that it feels like a swirling hurricane of confusion, fear, and exhaustion.

Ask yourself who benefits from our symptoms. It is not us and I think many ARE realizing we share more than divides us - especially when it comes to the core of survival...shelter, food, and compassion - compassion that addresses the curve balls of life, including the need for healthcare and/or accommodations. Basics. The A,B,Cs of building communities and providing a foundation for our children to grow upon, to learn, and open doors to opportunities...

It is GREED, corporate GREED numbing us and driving our Evolution train down a slippery slope greased with regret from prior efforts of discoveries leading to the potential destruction of mankind and now GREED's PAC bribes providing the momentum...and where there are profits to be made, power is there to be consumed - watch Oppenheimer and think about the Wild West of AI and tech playing out behind the scenes in this world.

If we don't stand up and flip the table now, what makes you think we will when they no longer need the vote you hold?

Both sides. Even my own.

It is up to us to make the difference and be examples to our leaders..

We have to take our power back by using our voices and pointing to our own house's failures

and Wall Street investing on our pain. (Give a Google search to our country's 4 profit #medicaid King, include lawsuit in the search term...that's just one example)

We all say what we do is for our children, future children..

It is time to prove it. If we want peace in our lives we have to clean house and remember our priorities.

Or else we remain drones...using our free time , our money, our efforts to rally around a team, owned by someone else.
