Frankenstein's Reckoning? My Morning Coffee Thoughts - #genxstrong

Society creates its own monsters. We do it in our heads and then carry it out via actions in the real world, often with good intent in our hearts, so we think.  That's all of us, me writing these words and you sitting there reading them.

Like right now - Who in the heck do I think I am writing these words, and is your first knee-jerk reaction to roll your eyes, or,  read with interest?  It starts with our building blocks, quite literally and what was downloaded in our evolving brains. Much of that data came from programs and practices created for the masses without taking into consideration the individual and their uniqueness, a gift bestowed on all.

Think about what every parent of a Special Education and/or Gifted student knows - the average classroom limits growth, inclusion is useless unless those administering throw away checklists and boxes to be checked while administering their wisdom.

Then what every hard to diagnose patient knows, we can fall under an umbrella of a diagnosis but, if that physician in front of us comes into our presence with bias,  for whatever reason, that very umbrella disappears and now is considered too rare for anyone , a self-fulfilling prophecy.  We end up with an unhealthy population, early disability and a healthcare system running on greed - not care.

These thoughts were on my mind this morning -digesting the last few months of current events along with my healing path this past holiday season. Call it what you will but I feel like my mind needs to sort it all out - it's all connected to my world touching yours - a Merry-go-round or a wheel of torture?

I don't know but today , evidently, this is where I begin.
