Kelly’s Three Moons More- a Scotsman's Solstice Lullaby

Kelly’s Three Moons More-

a Scotsman's Solstice Lullaby

Hush now, little dreamer, ’tis the longest night of the year,

Snow falls soft and silent, no need for any fear.

Three moons more glow soft in our wintry night skies,

Weaving quiet magic for you to close your sleepy eyes.

Selene the snowy owl glides on wings so silvery white,

Watching o’er the stable in warm and gentle light.

She sprinkles soft star dust on creatures resting there,

Guarding tender promise with loving, watchful care.

In the stable’s quiet hush, where holy shadows play,

Mary, so young, rests peacefully at the close of day.

Hand upon her belly, she feels new life turn slow

Like the hidden sun that dreams of the morning’s glow.

Bagpipes breathe so softly, a tune from grey misty glens,

Waking gentle whispers like kind and fairy friends.

Lior and Asha wander, yet feel the magic so near,

Knowing silver morning will soon be bright and clear.

Close your eyes, sweet dreamer, let winter magic flow,

Dream of snowy wonders and moons with silver glow.

The darkest night is turning, new light is drawing nigh

Sleep warm, little one, till dawn lights up the sky.

Goodnight, little dreamer; the turning has begun,

Mary’s child and solstice sun, two promises as one.

Sweet dreams on this peaceful solstice night.

The light is already stirring, loving and sure.
