A Bedtime Poem for Brave Little Zebras

Dedicated to all the brave little zebras fighting big battles with quiet courage

Hush now, lil' zebra, close your eyes, Moonlight sparkles in the skies. Wings of silver, calm and near, Winged Zebra whispers, “I am here.”

Hospital lights may shine so bright, But the Winged Zebra guards you every night. He wraps you softly, safe, cozy and warm, Shielding you through every night's storm.

When the pain does comes on sharp and deep, Zebra’s wings will help you make a leap Over the aches that try to stay— He carries them so far, far away.

Brave small heart with stripes of deep gold, Strong and loved -you are- brave and bold. Let all those worries drift away, Zebra’s here now and till break of day.

Sleep now, Little Zebra, dream so deep, The Stars will hum you back to sleep. Zebra’s wings strong will hold you tight— Dream big brave child, goodnight, goodnight.
