Tell Me Why - Nevaeh Buchanan..5 years old

Tell me why - Neveah Buchanan -

Can someone tell my why? Why would ANY MOTHER of a YOUNG CHILD befriend and "pal" around with convicted sex offenders? Prepare your stomach, because if you're anything like me ...you're about to be sickened......................

On May 24th little 5 year old Nevaeh (Monroe, Michigan) came up missing. Evidently the little girl had been playing outside her grandmother's home just prior to her becoming missing. The girl lived with her grandmother.

Sadly, missing children is not a rarity ....but what makes this story so DISGUSTING is the reports on who...what MONSTERS...this little girl was willingly, on the part of her MOTHER, exposed to....CONVICTED SEX OFFENDERS!

Jennifer Buchanan (24 years old) , Neveah's mother, according to news reports, was an "associate" of convicted sex offender, Roy Lee Smith, and the girlfriend of yet another sex offender, George Kennedy.

May 28, 2009 - Detroit News...

".......Kennedy was convicted in Monroe County in 2002 of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct and second degree home invasion. He received sentences of 2 to 15 years. He was paroled in July of 2007. Terms of his parole include a prohibition from possessing children's clothing, toys or games, and he isn't supposed to have a romantic relationship with any person associated with a child. He cannot be with a child under the age of 17 without another adult being present and is barred from associating with persons with prior felony records.

The girl's mother, Jennifer Orise Buchanan, 24, was convicted in 2006 for two home break-ins, also in Monroe County. Although she was sentenced to 2 to 20 years, she was released from parole on Jan. 26.

Smith also has an extensive criminal background and is currently on parole. He was released from prison in February of 2008, having served his minimum of a 15 to 50 year sentence for a 1993 criminal sexual conduct conviction. He also was convicted of larceny and breaking and entering....... "

Stomach churning yet? Now niether man has been arrested, and only considered at this time as a "person of interest" ....

Little Neveah is still missing.........

Children from the same apartment complex reportedly told police:

"....two young children said they saw Nevaeh go into the woods, where she "was kidnapped by a bad man" and was stabbed in the stomach, according to the warrant...."

While police are piecing together the case, and following leads...searching for little Neveah...

I cannot get out of my head how this little innocent girl was exposed WILLINGLY to cretins by her MOTHER!

I could ask what in the HELL was this woman thinking, but obviously that question is pointless.

What's even sadder is this is not the first time this year I've heard a story about a MOTHER willingly exposing her child to a convicted sex offender. Earlier this year I was privy to such an incident that took place in my own community...where the convicted sex offender lived with his girlfriend WHILE awaiting sentencing (he already plead to the crime) for yet ANOTHER sex offense of a minor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A minor who supposedly lived next door to the girlfriend (MOTHER) - I wish I could say more on that one but for reasons beyond my control, I cannot..........yet....one day I may be able to.

Friends of the mother knew this was going on....yet DID NOTHING!

It takes a VILLAGE...people....

We have to stop turning our backs on our children........

I have no compassion in my heart for a person who would molest...rape...a child.

Nor do I for those who would willingly expose their own flesh and blood to such a MONSTER (S) ....

History Shrouded in Mold - Part 1

Sipping my morning coffee I sit on my bed looking out almost century old windows and into the backyards of my neighbors. This morning was no different. The sky is grey and there is a slight chill in the air, reminding me that outside that glass is another world filled with life and adventure, stories to tell and lessons to be learned...knowledge to be gained. In other words, hope.  That sentiment brings back the emotions I felt as a little girl. Then, I sat on my bed looking out the massive Victorian era windows of the 3rd floor apartment we called home. It was in the mid 70s -Evanston, Illinois. I loved being able to see into the green of the trees that lined our street. Between the leaves and branches was another world playing out before my eyes. The birds, the squirrels and sometimes even a stray cat - they lived out a day in their life without ever knowing they had an audience taking in their story.  I would spend a lot of time watching them and getting to know their personalit

A Pay it Forward Christmas...

The Christmas Clues came all month long.....a month filled with constant motion ..chaos...stress...and deep inside me the usual holiday dread. Those clues helped to divert my attention away from the emptiness that has been in me for the last few years.... Those memories of a large family coming together where I was the hostess for all the holiday feasts....the memories that usually remind me of the last few years and how much the boys and I have lost when domestic violence entered our home...and what destruction it left in it's wake. Yes, the clues had me looking forward to time that in the last three years or so I would wish I could close my eyes around mid-November and wake up on Jan 1st - yes, me...the one time overly merry hostess had turned bitter towards the holidays. This is the first year in a very long time that I have actually looked forward to Christmas.... That Secret Santa...and those elves....must have known that I was dreading another Christmas...another holiday in

Daniel A. Woolverton - A Rapist you will and SHOULD not forget

Daniel A. Woolverton The picture above is of a West Point graduate (Class of 1997) who went on to have a military career that most men at one time were little boys dreaming about as they played with their G.I. Joe's and Army Men. A sweet face, I am sure as a mother, his own mother worried about his safety every waking moment while he was enlisted.   This is him - that same once good looking - waiting to to take on the world, young man. Life has taken a toll, that is obvious - at first glance you might think that the horrors his eyes seen as a former JAG officer eventually led him down the path of self medication and drug abuse. His soul appears to be lost behind those eyes - Truth is, after reading and taking what I have learned since receiving an email today to his story- He never had a soul - at least one with a conscience to begin with.  The headline in the email asking to me to consider telling this story on this blog read: NEWS:  Disbarred US Arm
